New Tech News – Vertiv Geist Combination Outlet C13/C19

Vertiv combines the C13 and C19 outlets into one, supporting both C14 and C20 plug types.

Vertiv has stepped up its critical power game with a rack Power Distribution Unit (rPDU) that features a patented Combination Outlet C13 / C19 option that supports C14 and C20 plug types. This new option should significantly reduce the complexity of your IT power infrastructure deployments.

2-in-1 Simplicity and Security

The Vertiv Geist Combination Outlet C13 / C19 is a 2-in-1 receptacle functioning as both an IEC C13 and C19. This duality simplifies the rack PDU buying process and accommodates ever-changing rack power requirements with the flexibility to connect C14 and C20 plugs in the same outlet. Now there is no longer a need to determine the number of C13 and C19 receptacles required at the time of rPDU purchase based on equipment power needs.

The receptacles on the Combination Outlet are color-coded by circuit for instant identification and are designed to provide high cable retention and P-Lock compatibility to securely lock power cords in place and eliminate downtime due to vibrations, human error, or accidental disconnects during rack maintenance. The Combination Outlet is also UL Certified and CE Marked.

Ultimate Rack Power Flexibility Provided by Vertiv and CEG

The Vertiv Geist rPDU with the new Combination Outlet C13 / C19 offers the highest level of rack power flexibility to accommodate all initial deployment needs and any future equipment adds, moves, or changes. In addition, it will provide the simplicity, security, and peace of mind you need when your hands are in the back of the rack.
