New Grommet Provides Immediate Airflow Improvements and ROI for Mission Critical Facilities

With its acquisition of Triad Floors in 2017, RLE added a new level of diversity to its data center and mission critical facility solutions. They’ve now expanded upon their robust raised floor and containment product portfolio with the launch of their own line of grommets.

Plugging holes is one of the easiest ways to improve airflow and efficiency in any raised floor environment. If air can escape through holes in a raised floor you limit the effectiveness of containment and decrease your cooling efficiency. RLE’s patent-pending 6” split integral grommets seal cutouts in raised floors and show an immediate efficiency return.

Simplicity at its Finest

The product itself is a nod to simplicity in both design and innovation. Its foam design seals better than brushes, allowing 50% less air leakage than other grommets. RLE’s grommets split quickly and easily into two parts. This means you can use them whole or use halves for installation around existing cables or pipes, or against a flat edge. Four screws are provided to ensure a secure installation. The result is an immediate ROI for customers.

Six-inch round grommets are available now in any quantity you may need, and RLE is working on additional sizes. 4”x6” and 9.25”x6” rectangular grommets as well as 6”x6” square grommets will be available by the end of the year. A 4” round grommet will be available in early 2021.
